Checking out a spot I had gone to 20 years ago……….. The guy who built the stone houses decided to build one for himself and never finished it ,now it is up for sale! The people down here call it the crazy house because it is built so strange.

Heading to a new spot today-remote-excited! Can’t wait to get there, taking my gear with me,gonna stay awhile.

Going up to the lake to look for some fungus, the forests are old up there and I tend to find a lot of rotting wood with lots of fungus and lichen.
River wood is so different from the ocean wood. Love it though, found a couple of nice pieces already. Easy to get lost up [...]

Crisp blue sky. Strange bird calls. Nippy in the bog today. Foxholes everywhere with bird feathers all around their entrance – only the wings left – marsh hawk maybe. Got to get through here to get to the shore.

Dawn is breaking. The east side of anywhere would be good right now. I’m going into new territory today. Bears are thick and they are just out of hibernation with their cubs. Got to be careful. All the ones I have run into have been more scared of me then me of them.
